Lie Hoeng's passion for cooking began at a young age. Growing up in Bandung, she often accompanied her mother to the market and helped prepare meals in the family kitchen. After moving to Jakarta, she began taking food orders, eventually sharing her Sundanese-style dishes with Indonesians living in the Bay Area who long for the authentic flavors of home.
