Thanh Son Tofu is a beloved Vietnamese tofu deli in San Jose, rooted in a family tradition of tofu making that began in Vietnam and continued in California after the family immigrated to the U.S. Featured by KQED as part of the story of how Vietnamese Americans helped make San Jose “America’s tofu capital,” Thanh Son is known for its fresh, tender tofu made from scratch each morning, along with fried tofu, pandan soy milk, yuba, soy pudding, bánh bèo, bánh bò and other Vietnamese favorites.
