GO DUCK YOURSELF was born during the peak of the 2020 lockdown as an extension of the renowned Cantonese barbecue institution, Hing Lung Company. Established in the late 1970s, Hing Lung Company has been a San Francisco favorite for decades. After immigrating from Hong Kong in the early 1980s, the Cheung family's father, Wing Cheung, joined the original team. Today, Hing Lung Company is proudly recognized as a family-owned San Francisco Legacy Business.
Brothers and chef-owners Eric and Simon Cheung grew up surrounded by the flavors and traditions of Cantonese barbecue. Inspired by the comfort food of their childhood, they are passionate about showcasing authentic Cantonese roasted meats while redefining how Chinese cuisine is experienced.
