Nusa means "island" in Javanese

Nusa was founded in 2013 by chef Jennifer Huang and Perry, her husband, who grew up in South Sumatra, Indonesia. When her family immigrated to the Bay Area, Jennifer realized her homeland had little-to-no culinary presence in Northern California - even though Indonesia is one of the largest countries in the world.

Their mission is to introduce & broaden the appeal of Indonesian food in the San Francisco Bay Area. They offer unique, classic Indonesian desserts, snacks, and savory items, handcrafted following traditional home-style recipes.
